On the hills surrounding S. Margherita Ligure, among the green of the olive trees and the typical ligurian terraces, a soft rosa spot marks this villa, which was built in the ‘700, and is today immersed in a beautiful flowergarden, from where you can enjoy a splendid view on the port of S. Margherita and on the whole Tigullio Gulf.
Today, after a careful work of architectural recover, the villa presents itself as a masterpiece of recovery in the respect of the ligurian tradition, both in the colours and in its main characteristics.
The Villa is divided into two levels: the daily area, on the lower level, and the night area, on the upper floor.
The bright living-room has wide window looking on the peaceful garden, and lowered arches to separate the different areas.
Blue is the dominant colour in the kitchen, characterized by the wooden beams on the ceiling, and the typical genoese chairs with the “love knot”.
Here each presence kept the flavour of the ancient times, recreating the atmosphere of a domestic hearth with a country flavour: the rustic woden table, the marble washbasin and the big fireplace.
On the upper floor the three rooms take inspiration from the colours of the daily area, adding a touch of poetry and romance: the Mastery room, in different green tones, is characterized by a canopy bed in wrought iron, dating from the ‘800, with precious fabrics of Pierre Frey, which create a slightly melancholy atmosphere. The forniture is antique, the parquet (wooden floor) also comes from the ‘800, and the ceiling is interesting with the wooden beams on sight.
The other two rooms have the delicate colours of pink (rosa) and light blue, with curtains and bedspreads coordinated with flower themes, and luminous windows overlooking the swimming-pool, the olive tree landscape, and the colourful roofs of Santa Margherita Ligure.
